Cassville JV wins big, extends streak
Wildcats score on every possession against Nevada
On Monday night, the Cassville junior varsity football team took on the junior varsity team from Nevada, winning 58-0 by scoring on every offensive possession and pitching a shutout on defense.
With the win, the Wildcats JV team moved to 7-0 on the season, and Cassville’s JV football program has now won 14 straight games dating back to last season.
Cassville’s offense scored its first four touchdowns through the air before focusing on the ground game for the remainder of the contest.
The defense was dominant, as the Nevada offense only got past midfield twice the entire game.
“It’s fun watching our young guys compete,” said Mark Elliott, offensive line coach. “They feed off of our varsity and they don’t want to be the group to snap the winning streak.”
The next game for the Cassville JV football team will be Monday at Cassville against Reeds Spring. The game will start at 6 p.m.
