Local toddler wins state recognitions

Raeleigh Belle Brown, 3, competed in Our Diamond Miss State pageant in Lavaca, Ark., May 26-27. During this event, contestants are judged on facial beauty, modeling, personality and overall appearance. Contestants compete on stage by themselves in categories such as beauty; red, white and blue wear; casual wear; holiday hoopla; fictional character; and talent. Contestants also compete in photogenic, portfolio, sweepstakes and the Diamond Girl competition. Brown was crowned Arkansas State 2nd runner up in modeling, 1st runner up in talent, 1st runner up in glamour, Tiny Miss Photogenic and Tiny Miss Diamond Girl. At a special crowning, Brown was crowned Tiny Miss Talent with her tumbling routine to “How Far I’ll Go.” Once crowned, contestants are required to compete at Nationals in July and reign for the year doing special appearances.
