Norma D. Patterson
Norma D. Patterson, 89, of Washburn, passed away Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, at her home.
She was born Aug. 3, 1929, in Washburn, the daughter of Bent and Lona (Day) Dalton. On Aug. 25, 1948, in Cassville, she was united in marriage to Perry Patterson, Jr., who preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents; one daughter, Vickie Howell; two brothers, Vern Dalton and Warren Dalton; a sister, Verbal Pendergraft; and one grandson.
Survivors include: three daughters, Janie Lee and husband Larry of Noel, Kay Pippin (Darrell Kelly) of Bella Vista, Ark., and Beth Roller and husband Don of Seligman; eight grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren.
She grew up and graduated from high school at Washburn. She was employed at Frank and Lou Armstrong Grocery Store, Red Hayes Grocery Store, Johnnie Saunders Grocery Store, and Ramey Grocery Store. She also drove a school bus and raised cattle. She was a member of Mount Zion Baptist Church.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 12, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Chaplain Larry Kackley will conduct the services. Burial will be at Roller Cemetery west of Washburn.
