Jackie Irene Elkins
Jackie Irene Elkins, 88, of Cassville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9, 2018, at Roaring River Health and Rehabilitation in Cassville.
She was born March 15, 1930, in Lead Hill, Ark., the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Wyatt) Tate. On March 29, 1947, in Harrison, Ark., she was united in marriage to J.B. (Junior Barnes) Elkins, who preceded her in death on Dec. 26, 2009. Also preceding her in death were her parents and brothers Charlie, Harley, Spencer, Lewis, Earl Dean, B.H. and W.O.
Survivors include: five sons, Charles Elkins of Orlando, Fla., Stephen Elkins, Jonathan Elkins and his wife Tayra, Keith Elkins and his wife Claudetta and Kevin Elkins all of Cassville; four daughters, Roberta Krolzick and her husband Fred of South Bend, Ind., Rowena Ray and her husband Luther of Aurora, Rebecca Periman and her husband Roger of Cassville, and Rosetta Rose of Cassville; one brother, S.C. Tate of Omaha, Ark.; two sisters, Eurbell Goodnight of Ridgedale, and Jaurlene Jones of Blue Eye; 26 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
She attended Blessing Heights Worship Center in Cassville.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 13, at Fields Cemetery in Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Dakota Rose, grandson, will conduct the services.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
