Vehicle strikes another while responding to emergency vehicle

Three people from Oklahoma were injured Thursday in a wreck at 4:50 p.m on Highway 37 at Highway 76 in Cassville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Casey Baker, 33, of Pierce City, was driving a 2014 Ford Explorer southbound when his vehicle responded to lights and sirens activated for an emergency incident and struck a 2016 Ford Fusion, being driven by Troy Brock, 28, of Jay, Okla., at the intersection.

Brock and two passengers in his vehicle, Vera King, 67, and Wesley King, 68, both of Jay, Okla., all suffered minor injuries. All three were transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.

All involved were wearing safety devices, and both vehicles sustained moderate damage.
