Online registration may be accessed through the Parent Portal and is required for all returning students prior to the first day of school, Tuesday, Aug. 14. A computer lab will be set up in the cafeteria from 4-6 p.m., August 1-3, for families without internet access or who require assistance with online registration. Spanish translation will be available.
New families to the district may enroll their students Wednesday, Aug. 1, through Friday Aug. 3, from 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Families should bring their children to enrollment and provide birth certificates, immunization records, any applicable court documentation regarding child custody, previous school name, address and fax number. New students will not be enrolled on the first day of school, Aug. 14.
A parent meeting for families with student athletes will be held in the high school gym on Monday, Aug. 6. Athletic handbooks and other information will be distributed. This meeting is mandatory for parents of students who plan to represent Purdy in any school-sponsored sport during the 2018-2019 school year.
The district will host its annual Open House on Thursday, Aug. 9, from 5-8 p.m. Families are encouraged to attend this special evening, which affords students the opportunity to meet their teachers, tour the building, drop off supplies and reconnect with friends.
During the open house, parents of students in seventh grade through high school will pick up student schedules and locker assignments in the cafeteria/commons area. Parents of student drivers will complete parking pass registration and receive parking passes. Parents of students in grades 3-12 may also fill out iPad Agreements and pay the $20 user fee.
Fall photos will be taken during Open House this year. Photo package pricing, as well as a link for online ordering, will be released on the districtís website and social media accounts at the beginning of August. Order forms will also be available at Open House. Students who are not photographed at Open House will be photographed on retake day.
The Purdy school district will open its doors to welcome students to the 2018-2019 school year at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14. Cafeteria entrance doors will open at 7:30 a.m. for breakfast.
Bus routes and times remain the same as last year.
