1. Why do you want to be Recorder of Deeds?

I would consider it an honor and privilege to serve my fellow Barry county citizens, as I have in the past several years, in a public capacity. I have a God-given desire to help the people of our great county, and I feel this is a position to accomplish that.

2. What makes you more qualified for office than your opponents?

I donít consider myself anymore qualified for this position than any of my opponents, but my experience of working 15 years in a heavy workload office meeting the needs of Barry County citizens on a daily basis is second to none. I worked for the Department of Revenue in the Cassville License Office where I started as a senior in high school and worked my way up to the managing position. In this position I dealt with the Missouri State Statutes on a daily basis and those same statutes govern the position of Recorder. I have had the privilege of managing an office with employees working for me where I was in charge of work schedules, time sheets, bank deposits and other duties that is required to run a smooth operating office.

3. What is the biggest challenge you will face in the Recorderís Office? How do you plan to tackle that challenge?

My biggest challenge could be familiarizing myself with the office, but I am a fast learner, and have always been willing to meet new challenges head on and seeing great accomplishments. I know with my experience of hard work, dedication and concentration I can handle each challenge in a respectful and professional way. Working for and with the great people of Barry County will be no challenge for me but an honor and privilege.

4. What specific goals do you plan to accomplish in your first term?

My goal will be to serve my fellow citizens of our great county in the most professional and accommodating way that laws allow, because I feel the voters expect the very best service, and my goal is to meet that expectation.

5. What will be your policy for marriage license applications? Will you require an appointment or will walk-ins be allowed?

I feel the need of constituents needs to be met on a daily basis instead of by appointment only. When serving, one should be willing at all times to accommodate their needs.
