Padilla selected for Youth Exchange Program

Cassville High School Senior Marisa Padilla has been selected to be a part of the Rotary Club International Youth Exchange Program. Padilla will travel to the Republic of Columbia in South America in 2019, the year she graduates, and will spend one year studying abroad. The Youth Exchange Program is for students ages 15 to 19 that are selected and sponsored by their local Rotary Club. In photo, Padilla accepts a $60 check from Rotary Interact Club Sponsor and Assistant High School Principal Keith Robertson. The money was raised earlier in the semester by Interact students via a ‘fish-gram’ fundraiser activity, by students sending each other messages with Swedish Fish candy attached. The students decided to donate all the proceeds to Padilla toward her trip expenses. Padilla is the daughter of Telisha Padilla of Cassville. Contributed photo
