Cassville man injured in road rage wreck
Vehicle overturns on Hwy. 37 after chasing another vehicle
A Cassville man was injured Tuesday in a wreck at 2:45 p.m. following an alleged road rage incident on Highway 37 and Business 37, just north of Cassville.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, David Cape, 49, of Cassville, was driving a 1996 Ford Explorer southbound when his vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.
According to John Lueckenhoff, public information and education officer with the Patrol, the trooper who worked the wreck, Travis Coffey, said Cape swerved at and attempted to hit another vehicle, but missed and lost control of his vehicle, causing the crash.
Cape suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.
He was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
