2 injured in Hwy. 37 wreck

Deer in roadway hits vehicle south of Purdy

Two people were injured Sunday in a wreck involving a deer on Highway 37, three miles south of Purdy.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Larry Periman, 39, of Cassville, was driving a 2005 Harley Davidson motorcycle southbound when a deer ran into the roadway and struck the vehicle.

Periman and a passenger on the bike, Angela Periman, 44, of Cassville, each suffered moderate injuries. Both were transported to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

Both were wearing safety devices, and the motorcycle sustained moderate damage.
