Man injured, arrested after wreck

A Rocky Comfort man was injured and arrested following a wreck Friday at 7:55 p.m. on Route U, four miles east of Butterfield.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Paul Brown, 47, of Rocky Comfort, was driving a 1991 Harley Davidson motorcycle westbound when his vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned.

Brown suffered serious injuries and was transported to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

He was wearing a safety device, and the motorcycle sustained extensive damage.

At 8:36 p.m., Brown was arrested for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, driving while suspended/revoked, no insurance and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway resulting in a crash.
