Cassville speeds to state medals

Track team claims 3 All-State prizes

On the biggest stage of the track season, the Cassville track and field team did not wavier under the pressure of competing against the best in the state.

In total, the Wildcats and Lady Wildcats brought home a total of three medals and enough momentum to carry the team into next season.

In Missouri, top eight finishers are considered All-State. On the Wildcats’ side, Austin Wilson and Skyler Wolf earned All-State designations.

For the Lady Wildcats, Kyren Postlewait earned All-State honors.

Results for Cassville athletes at state are as follows:

Wildcats

Second

• 400-meter: Austin Wilson, 50.17

Eighth

• Shot put: Skyler Wolf, 47-2

Tenth

• Javelin: Jordan Reed, 136-8

Fourteenth

• 200-meter: Austin Wilson, 23.18

Lady Wildcats

Fifth

• Shot put: Kyren Postlewait, 40-02 personal record

Fourteenth

• 100-hurdles: Kennedy Parnell, 17.21

• 1,600-meter: Jordyn Stafford, 5:53.35

Fifthteenth

• 4x200 relay: Chole Parsons, Kyren Postlewait, Hannah Hackler and Parker Marple, 1:51.51
