3 arrested for drugs after traffic stop in Cassville

Fentanyl, pills, meth, pot found in vehicle

Three people were arrested Thursday following a traffic stop by the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team and Cassville Police Department.

According to a release by the Team, the stop was made at about 6:40 p.m. near Highway 37 and Tudor Road in Cassville.

Officers seized 59 hydrocodone pills, six fentanyl patches, 66 diazepam pills, one morphine pill, marijuana and suspected methamphetamine.

John Caldwell, 51, of Purdy; Amber Gunter, 36, of Pierce City; and Christine Gourd, 37, of Monett, were all arrested, and each are charged with possession of a controlled substance, two counts of delivery of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.

All three are being held in the Barry County jail. Caldwell has a $75,000 cash-only bond, and Gunter and Gourd each have $50,000 cash-only bonds.
