Cassville police to host Prescription Drug Take Back Day
The Cassville Police Department is participating in the D.E.A. Prescription Take Back Day scheduled for Saturday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. People may drop off medications at the back entrance (Municipal Court) of City Hall.
The event is held to help people properly dispose of unused medications.
"Cassville police want to encourage people to take the time to clean out their medicine drawers and cabinets and properly dispose of their unused medicine," said Dana Kammerlohr, Cassville police chief.
Over-the-counter medications will also be accepted.
Please note inhalers, illegal drugs or sharp objects (i.e. syringes/needles) cannot be accepted. In addition, the event is held for individuals; hospitals, pharmacies and veterinarians should find an alternative to drug/medication disposal.
