City hires two full-time police officers
Decision brings Department full-staff
The city of Cassville has completed interviews and has hired two new officers.
The officers fill two full-time positions, which Cassville Police Chief Dana Kammerlohr said would restore Department to full staff, after two officers resigned at the first of the year.
The new officers are Anthony Larson and Devin McCormack. Their starting pay is $15.38 per hour.
Larson and McCormack replaced outgoing officers Luke Hackett and Kyle Kuhn.
Officers must be POST certified in Missouri, a standard requirement in police licensing, before starting.
In January, Mayor Bill Shiveley praised Kammerlohr and the Department for their coverage of the city and handling of an increased amount of calls that occurred toward the end of the year, despite less staffing.
