2 arrested in Drug Team busts
Separate warrants turn up alleged LSD, meth
Two people were arrested recently in separate drug busts by the Barry County Sheriff’s Office and Cassville Police Department, both assisted by the Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team (ODET).
ODET and the Barry County Sheriff’s Department served a Search Warrant at 24465 Farm Road 2190 in Shell Knob on March 5. David Dipley, 35, of Shell Knob, was arrested after fleeing out the back door of the residence.
Inside the residence ODET detectives allegedly located and seized approximately 100 hits of suspected LSD, approximately 35 grams of marijuana and 5 grams of THC wax.
Dipley was transported to Barry County jail for pending charges of possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute. He was released on his own recognizance on March 6 following a 24-hour hold.
Amy Boxx, Barry County prosecutor, said the investigation into Dipley is ongoing, so she is not at liberty to comment.
ODET detectives and Cassville Police Department officers served a second warrant Monday afternoon not related to the Shell Knob warrant. The second warrant was at 101 Koon Street in Cassville. Shawn Burdiss, 36, of Cassville was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, as he was allegedly in possession of methamphetamine.
Burdiss was transported to Barry County jail and like Dipley, was released on March 6 after a 24-hour hold. Boxx said the investigation into Burdiss is also ongoing.
