Wednesday, February 28, 2018

On Tuesday, Feb. 20, the Exeter FFA Chapter executive committee held a recruitment event to encourage members of the current eighth-grade class to join the FFA when they reach high school next year.

A total of eight members helped to organize and run the event, including Reanna Berry, Yvonne Bradford, Chloe Carpenter, Madelyn Cole, Mykah Estes, Mackenzie Fuller, Wyatt Hoppes and Kiley Lyons. The eighth-graders were divided into four groups and rotated through different activities run by the members of the executive team, and Chapter President Reanna Berry and Vice President Chloe Carpenter shared a presentation about FFA and what it has to offer.

The rest of the committee had fun with team-building activities for students to show that FFA is about working together as one and being a team that can get along and listen well to each other.

At the conclusion of the event, the Chapter encouraged the future high school freshmen to consider becoming members this fall.
