As of December 2017, first-grade students at Eunice Thomas Elementary began having access to the HearBuilder online program, which is used to strengthen listening, memory, comprehension and early reading skills.

Speech and Language Pathologist at Cassville primary, Sheryl Fuchs, says she is excited to have the program available to students.

"HearBuilder is a safe way our students can use their Chromebooks in the classroom. Not only is it a game-based program, so the students are having fun, it is also helping them build vital communications skills," stated Fuchs.

HearBuilder provides individualized instruction through four different software titles: 1) Following directions; 2) Phonological awareness; 3) Auditory memory; and 4) Sequencing.
