Phillip Ray Ewbank
Phillip Ray Ewbank, 80, of Washburn, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018 at his home.
He was born April 20, 1937, in Butler, the son of Perry and Blanche Eva (Dunavan) Ewbank. On June 7, 1963, in Pomona, Calif., he was united in marriage to Dar Lene Nelson, who preceded him in death on May 31, 2010. Also preceding him in death were his parents; one daughter, Eva Marie Ewbank; two brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include: one son, David Ewbank and his wife Lori of Washburn; three brothers, Harold and Don, both of the Kansas City area, and John of Tennessee, three sisters, Muril, Shirley and Janie, all of the Kansas City area; two granddaughters; one step-granddaughter; and one great-grandson.
He graduated from high school in Amsterdam, Mo. He then attended Mt. San Antonio Jr. College and Chafee College receiving his Associate Degree. From 1960 until 1962, he served in the U.S. Army.
For several years, he was a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Church of God Seventh Day Adventist. No services are scheduled at this time. Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
