Eugene Rose, 87, of Eureka Springs, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice Home at Legacy Village in Bentonville, Ark.
He was born March 6, 1930, near Pyatt, Ark., the son of L.C. and Ola (Davis) Rose. On March 11, 1951, he was united in marriage to Mary Mayo Burns, who survives.
Additional survivors include: one son, Robert Eugene Rose and his wife Wendy of North Bloomfield, Ohio; one daughter, Michelle Smith and her husband Joe of Eureka Springs, Ark.; one brother, Loy Rose of Arizona; and two grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; two brothers, Warren Rose and Gerald Rose and one sister, Moyra Tabor.
He graduated from Pyatt High School in Pyatt, Ark. He received his associate degree from Central Bible Institute in Springfield. For over 50 years, he was pastor of Assembly of God Churches and attended First Assembly of God in Eureka Springs. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps. For 20 years, he owned and operated Rose Garden Inn in Eureka Springs, Ark. Services were held Sunday at OK Assembly of God Church in Washburn, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial will be at Seligman Cemetery in Seligman.
