Naomi “Sue” (Owens) Duncan

Naomi “Sue” (Owens) Duncan, 82, of Cassville, passed away Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, at her home.

She was born March 22, 1935, in Shell Knob, the daughter of Truman and Lela (Mikeman) Burbridge. She was married to Claude Owens and to this union two children were born. Claude preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death were her parents.

On Nov. 20, 2009, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, she was united in marriage to William Duncan, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one son, Mickey Owens of Shell Knob; one daughter, Claudetta Elkins and her husband Keith of Cassville; one stepson, Robert Lee “Bobby” Duncan of Cassville, Missouri; five stepdaughters, Janice Bowen and her husband James of Fayetteville, Ark., and Dorothy Day, Samantha Reed and her husband Steven, Shirley Fletcher and her husband LouDon and Mary Packwood and her husband Bobby, all of Cassville; two brothers, Herbert Burbridge and his wife Barbara of Cassville, and Rollie Burbridge and his wife Pat of Columbia; three sisters, Dollie Owens of Cassville, and Donna Blankenship and Captola Cowles and her husband Johnny all of Shell Knob, Missouri; three grandchildren; fourteen step-grandchildren; and three great- grandchildren.

She grew up in Fairview and received her education at Gaddis School. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Lohmer Full Gospel Church in Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial will be at Fields Cemetery in Shell Knob.
