Ronald Lee Holden

Ronald Lee Holden, age 69, of Exeter, passed away Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, at Freeman Hospital in Joplin.

He was born Jan. 1, 1948, in Cassville, the son of John A. and Thelma (Hutchens) Holden, who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were six brothers, his twin brother, Donald Holden, Jack Holden, William Holden, Bob Breeden, George Breeden and Alfred Holden and two sisters, Lydia Thurman and Barbara Holden.

Survivors include: two daughters, Stacy Stewart and her husband Scott of Cassville, and Tina Selleck of Exeter; one step-daughter, Tasha Criswell and her husband Steven of Cassville, Missouri; one brother, Tim Holden of Cassville, Missouri; one sister, Mary Francis Whorton of Annandale, Virginia; a sister-in-law Delores Holden of La Habra, Calif.; eight grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren.

He grew up and received his education in Cassville, where he graduated from high school. During the Vietnam War, he served in the U.S. Army. He was an over-the-road truck driver until his retirement. He was a member of American Legion Post 118 and the VFW.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today, Wednesday, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Donnie Spears will conduct the services. Burial with military honors will be at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville.
