Regional Library changes some branch hours

4 locations to see extended hours in January

Officials at the Barry-Lawrence Regional Library have announced a change in hours for four locations in the 10-branch system beginning Jan. 2, 2018.

In Monett, the library will be open extended hours on Monday, from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Tuesday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. New Saturday hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

In Cassville, the library will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. New extended hours are from 8:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.

The Miller branch will open for extended hours from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The Mt. Vernon branch will also open for extended hours from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday.

"We have had people request longer hours in the evening due to work restrictions and we extended our hours in order to make our services available to the workforce," said Cindy Frazier, branch supervisor.

All other branch hours will remain the same.

In Aurora, the library is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

The Eagle Rock, Pierce City, Purdy and Shell Knob branches will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

The Marionville Library is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
