Missouri Hills Quilters, a local quilting group, recently donated 15 quilts to Kornerstone Teen Parent program. The quilts will be given to local teen parent families enrolled in Kornerstone’s Teen Parent program. The local teen program assists teen parents in becoming an established family unit through education, advocacy and support services. Missouri Hills Quilters have been quilting together for 15 years, and donate their quilts locally to nonprofit organizations and families in need. They meet monthly on the second and last Tuesday of the month to quilt together, and always welcome new members. Anyone interested in learning to quilt, or volunteering their quilting skills should contact Joyce Weaver at 417-235-8362 for more information on meetings and location. Pictured in photo with a few of their donated quilts are, from left: quilt group members Joyce Weaver, Delpha Bowling and Marie Gentry. Not pictured are members Nancy Cox, Irene Franks and Betty DeWitt. Contributed photo
