Walmart Choir to perform in Cassville store

The Walmart Choir from Walmart headquarters in Bentonville, Ark., will be performing a concert at the Cassville Walmart Store on Friday from 3-3:20 p.m. Store Manager Jade Covey invites the public to attend this Christmas concert. The choir last performed in the Cassville store in 2011.

Herrin Animal Hospital Toy Drive kicking off

Herrin Animal Hospital in Cassville is hosting its 18th annual Holiday Toy Drive. The staff will collect toys through today (Wednesday). New toys will be distributed to children in need by the Ozark Community Action Corporation’s Barry County Neighborhood Center in time for Christmas. “It is always a special time for us when we load up the truck with toys every year,” said Dr. Herrin, owner of the hospital. My staff and I really enjoy participating in this and our friends and clients always amaze us with their generosity. We look forward to this every year.” Everyone is encouraged to help local children in need by bringing a new toy to the hospital, located at 95 Smithson Drive. Ozark Festival Orchestra to perform ‘Messiah’ in Cassville

The Ozark Festival Orchestra, soloists and a community choir will perform selections from Handel’s “Messiah” at 7 p.m. On Saturday at the Family Life Center of the First Baptist Church, 602 West St. in Cassville. Singers from the Cassville area are still welcome to join rehearsals for the community choir, which are being held at 2 p.m. Sundays at the First United Methodist Church, 1600 N. Central in Monett.
