Purdy senior signs with Kansas junior college

After leading the Lady Eagles to the state championship game as a senior, Purdy softball pitcher Hallie Henderson has put one hurdle behind her as she readies for her senior campaign.

The senior has signed on the dotted line to play next season at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, Kan.

In her three seasons at Purdy, Henderson has earned All-State, All-District and All-Conference selections each year.

As a junior, Henderson went 24-2 and threw 145-2/3 innings. She struck out 252 and finished with an ERA of .960.

At the plate, she was equally as effective, hitting .470 with 43 runs scored, 22 RBI and 13 doubles.

Henderson is the daughter of Jay and Shelley Henderson of Purdy. She is coached by Lori Videmschek and Jennifer Cornelius.
