Purdy cross-country seniors honored for season

Joby Young, Chandler Orwig recognized on Senior Night

Purdy High School honored cross-country runners Joby Young and Chandler Orwig at cross-country Senior Night, held between the junior varsity and varsity Purdy basketball games on Friday.

Young, the son of David and Stefanie Young, was a team participant his junior and senior years. He helped the team reach first and second places in meets at Diamond High School, and third place in the Ozark 7 Conference.

Orwig, the son of Bryan and Tefanie Orwig, also ran his junior and senior years. He served as the team captain and was named first team All Conference. He placed 15th at district, qualified for state and received the 2017 Coaches Award.
