Edna Maye (Cooper) Edie, 92, of Cassville, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017.

She was born in Shell Knob, July 27, 1925, the daughter of William Elmer and Frances Elizabeth (Ball) Cooper.

She was a graduate of Cassville High School and had one year of college in Springfield.

She united in marriage to Don Bradley Edie on July 27, 1946, in Exeter. She taught school several years before starting a family. Don preceded her in death. Others preceding her in death were her parents; one sister, Dorothy Curry; three brothers-in-law, Paul Curry, W.H. Holman and Wayne Horner.

Surviving are her two daughters, Donna K. (Edie) Ball and her husband Dewey of Cassville, and Lou Ann (Edie) Frye and her husband Tim of Jackson; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Lucille Holman of Raymore, Fredalene Horner of Cassville, Norma Lee Swindell and her husband Warren of McKinney, Texas, and Fayedola Hilton and her husband Carl of Republic; and one brother, Charles Cooper and his wife Freda of Cassville.

She was church secretary at First Baptist Church of Cassville, and served 28 years, until retiring August 15, 1991. Graveside services were held Sunday, Nov. 19, 2017 at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cassville under direction of Fohn Funeral in Cassville.
