Rear end crash injures Cassville man
Collision caused by driver following too close
A Cassville man was injured Friday in a wreck at 12:25 p.m. on Highway 248, four miles east of Cassville.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Colton Bowman, 20, of Cassville, was driving a 2005 Ford Taurus eastbound and was following too close to a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche, being driven by Grant Vaught, 27, of Springfield, striking the Chevrolet in the rear as it was beginning to make a right turn onto a farm road.
Bowman suffered minor injuries and sought his own treatment.
Both drivers were wearing safety devices. The Taurus sustained extensive damage, and the Avalanche sustained minor damage.
