Kornerstone Program receives $4,000 grant from Chaney Family Foundation

Kornerstone’s Teen Parent Program recently received funding from the Robert and Francis Chaney Family Foundation in the amount of $4,000 for program year 2018. Kornerstone is a local non-profit organization serving pregnant and parenting teens in Barry County through advocacy and education. The funding will be utilized for operating expenses to assist the program in continuing to provide prenatal and post-delivery services for pregnant teens. Services include: transportation to prenatal visits; W.I.C. services; well-baby checks; personal visits to expectant and parenting teens; and childbirth classes. Other services include: labor and delivery doula services for teen mothers; infant massage education; 24-hour breastfeeding counseling; and an educational curriculum for dads. The mission of the Chaney Family Foundation is to benefit the welfare of children and families and support public safety.
