Alfred Lee Jennings
Alfred Lee Jennings, 74, of Cassville, passed away at his home on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017. He was born on Jan. 17, 1943, in Shawnee, Okla., son of Edd and Annabelle (Shelton) Jennings. On Aug. 12, 1978, he was united in marriage to Karen J. Holbrook in Santa Cruz, Calif. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam War Veteran. He helped start AL Lease Plumbing in California and later went on to be a truck driver until he retired, and he and Karen moved to Cassville to make their home. Mr. Jennings enjoyed woodworking and being with family and friends. His favorite pastimes were crystal hunting and traveling with the love of his life, Karen.
Survivors include one son, Allan Jennings and his wife Stacy, of Hillsboro, Tennessee; one daughter, Rebecca Watson and her husband Michael, of Denver, Colorado; one step-daughter, Katie Correia and her husband Michael, of Cassville; his mother, Annabelle Jennings, of Sacramento, California; seven grandchildren, Deborah, Brody, David, Eric, Chrissy, Tayler, and Faith; two great-grandchildren; one brother, James Jennings, of Sacramento, California; one sister, Alice Madruga and her husband Rick, of Salinas, California; his brother-in-law, Lee Holbrook and his significant other Nina, of Columbia, Missouri; special friends, Mike and Phyllis Petty and their family, and Jim Nash and family, all of Cassville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Mr. Jennings was preceded in death by his wife Karen on May 21, 2014.
A private family burial for both Al and Karen will be held at Maplewood Cemetery in Exeter at a later date.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville.
