Another option is available for local residents to go for their morning coffee, breakfast, lunch, or an afternoon shot of espresso to get through the work day, as Bailee-Greys Coffee Lounge is now open.

On Thursday, the Cassville Chamber of Commerce helped the new establishment celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The business, which is located at 472 Hwy. 76, across from the American Legion, offers gourmet espresso coffees, breakfast options such as pastries, sandwiches, muffins and breads, bagels, fruit, biscuits and gravy, soup and plate lunch specials each day. Breakfast is served all day as long as supplies last.

Along with its abundance of food and caffeinated beverages for coffee lovers, the business was designed to be a gathering place for the community, says owner Stephanie Pelfrey with free wifi, television, trivia and painting activities, and even a massage therapist, all in a cozy atmosphere.

Guests can relax on the sofa, in an easy chair, or find a table to sit with friends or family.

I just want people to know we are a place for families to hang out and friends to come, Pelfrey said. Were all about relaxing and enjoying the day.

Pelfrey, a past resident of Cassville who returned about three years ago, said she always wanted to own a coffee shop, and decided to just go for her dream and put her passion into place, naming the business after her grandchildren, Bailee and Grey.

I love coffee and hanging out with my friends and having coffee and desert, and always said, One day, Im going to do this, and here we are, she said.

Local students will have a place to gather now, too.

Kids can come hang out and study, or sit with their friends, Pelfrey said.

Hours are Tuesday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Saturday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Trivia is offered Thursday nights with prizes given away, and painting on Tuesdays and Thursdays, at 6 p.m. Painting supplies are provided, and fees are $25 for a canvas or $30 for a wood panel.

The business will also be participating in a community Christmas Open House event on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with hot chocolate, samples and specials.
