‘Hard knocks’ don’t stop show for Purdy musical

As “Annie” closed on Saturday night, the cast applauded director Lauren Lee for directing her eighth Broadway play at Purdy. The cast battled through illness and injury, including a lacerated foot on one cast member, putting her in the wheelchair for the curtain call, Included in the curtain call was Henry Lee, Lauren and Dustin Lee’s dog, who made the most of his time on stage to gobble up treats hidden in pockets of cast members.
