Stopped vehicles lead to chain reaction crash
Two people were injured Thursday in a wreck at 1 p.m. on Highway 37, 2 miles south of Cassville.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Whitney Vardeman, 24, of Seligman, was driving a 1999 Toyota 4Runner southbound when her vehicle struck the rear of a stopped 1988 GMC Sonoma, being driven by James Fogarty, 24, of Washburn. The collision forced Fogarty's vehicle to strike the rear of a stopped 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer, being driven by Nolan Lassiter, 69, of Cassville.
Fogarty and Lassiter each suffered minor injuries. They were both transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville. Vardeman was not injured.
