Victim claims crime happened one time in Barry County

A Greenwood man is facing a felony charge for an alleged statutory rape that occurred in June of 2013 at a cabin on Table Rock Lake in Golden.

Richard Woodbridge, 32, of Greenwood, is charged with first-degree statutory rape.

According to a probable cause report filed by Angela Cole, deputy with the Barry County Sheriff's Office, the victim, less than 12 years of age at the time of the alleged incident, said the rape occurred one time in Barry County.

Woodbridge is being held in the Barry County jail on a cash-only bond of $100,000. HIs warrant was issued on June 7, and it was served on Oct. 25. Woodbridge has been arraigned, and a disposition hearing is scheduled for Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the courtroom of Judge Robert Foulke.

In Jackson County, Woodbridge is facing three counts of first-degree statutory rape, one count of first-degree statutory sodomy and one count of second-degree statutory rape. Those charges were filed in May.

Woodbridge pleaded not guilty to those charges and met a percentage bond on Oct. 16. A jury trial for that case has been set for Feb. 26, 2018, at 9 a.m.
