Ruby C. (Henson) Miller
Ruby C. (Henson) Miller, 92 of Cassville, passed away Thursday, Oct. 26, 2017, at Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
She was born Dec. 30, 1924, in Barry County, the daughter of Alvin and Zula (Eubanks) Henson. On May 10, 1941, in Cassville she was united in marriage to Charles “Mirl” Miller, who preceded her in death on Sept. 19, 2005. Also preceding her in death were her parents; four brothers, Loren, Glenn, Charles and Calvin Henson; three sisters Jewel Epperly, Marilyn Huffman and Marcella Gordon and one grandchild.
Survivors include: three sons, Ted Miller and his wife Linda of Kodak, Tenn., Frank Miller and his wife Pam of Tulsa, Okla., and Calvin Miller and his wife Lynda of Dunnellon, Fla.; one daughter, Judy Porter and her husband Ron of Ketchikan, Alaska; five brothers, Paul Henson and his wife Alta and Darrell Henson and his wife Melba, all of Shell Knob, Dale Henson and his wife Jean and Harold Henson of Cassville and Dewey Henson of Springdale, Ark.; four sisters, Dorothy Hodge of Cassville, Treva Vineyard of Savanah, Tenn., and Marion (Foxie) Henson and Connie Henson, both of Cassville; eleven grandchildren; and many great- grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She received her education at Cassville where she graduated from high school. She then attended two years at Bolivar Baptist College. For a few years she taught school and then was a social worker for Barry County Social Services. As a child she attended Twin Valley Baptist Church and later became a member of Mineral Springs Baptist Church.
Services were held Sunday, at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Pastor Milford Baker conducted the services. Burial was at Mineral Springs Cemetery in Cassville.
