Billy R. “Bill” Cox, 76, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 25, 2017, at Willard Walker Hospice Home in Fayetteville, Ark.

He was born July 19, 1941, in Cassville, the son of Wallen and Beulah Ella (Hood) Cox.

On Sept. 2, 1961, he was united in marriage to Gloria “Jean” Smith who preceded him in death on May 15, 2008. Also preceding him in death were his parents.

Survivors include: two sons, David Cox and Donnie Cox and his wife Monica all of Midway, Ga.; one brother, Jim Cox and his wife Lea of Cassville; one sister, Mary Ellen Easley of Lowell, Ark.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

He graduated from high school at Exeter in 1959. He had lived in Exeter, Wheaton and Ozark where he was a broker, buying and selling cattle. For over 20 years he milked cows and then became a buyer for Gary Keen. He was a member of Cross Church in Rogers, Ark.

Graveside services were held Monday at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Jeff Simpson conducted the services.
