Viola Chaney, 92, Aurora, passed away Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017.
She was born in Johnson City, N.Y., to Rev. Leon and Hattie Mae Wilson on Nov. 27, 1924.
Survivors include: her husband Carl Chaney of 19 years; children and step-children, Judy and Walter Price of Aurora, Jean and Junior Haddock of Aurora, Rick and Donna Isley of Windsor, Randy and Jenise Isley of Jenkins, J.T. and Silva Blankenship of Cassville, Kenny and Diana Blankenship of Springfield, Bruce Chaney of Springfield, Susan Murray of Aurora, Darrell Chaney of Aurora. Annette Isley daughter in law, Alabama, and Teresa Chaney of Aurora; 23 grandchildren, 31 great- grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husbands, Harvey Isley (June 6, 1967), and Stanley Blankenship (August 4, 1991); one brother, three sisters, one son, Joe Isley; one grandson; two great granddaughters; and one step-grandson.
She worked as a cook for the Horner School until its closing, and she worked at Jumping Jack Shoe Factory in Cassville, until her retirement. She assisted her husband Stanley on the farm, feeding cattle.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial will be at Corinth Cemetery in Cassville.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville.
