Man injured in collision with horse
Vehicle goes through fence on Route B
A Rocky Comfort man was injured in a wreck at 5:30 a.m. Thursday on Route B, east of Farm Road 1045, approximately two miles west of Purdy.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Mark Tarrant, 61, of Rocky Comfort, was driving a 2002 Chrysler Town and Country van eastbound when his vehicle hit a horse, ran off the right side of the roadway and went through a fence.
Tarrant suffered serious injuries and was flown to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He was wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
