Cassville Youth Advisory hosting Fall Carnival

A Fall Carnival, sponsored by the Cassville Youth Advisory, will be held on Nov. 4 at the Family Life Center in Cassville. Games, prizes and fun will be available for children ages 4 and up. Tickets are 25 cents each. A silent auction will be set up, and a hot dog and chili meal with pop, water, chips popcorn and cotton candy will be available.

Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat coming on Oct. 24

The annual fundraiser, Trick or Treat So Others Can Eat, will be put on by the Cassville High School FBLA, FCCLA, FTA, TSA and FFA on Oct. 24. The groups will come to neighborhoods and businesses to collect non-perishable food items from 3:30-5:30 p.m. All food collected will be used in the local community.

Health Fair coming to Washburn church

The Barry County HELP and Health Fair will be held on Thursday from 3-6 p.m. in the Activity Center at the Washburn First Baptist Church. The Ozarks Area Community Action Corporation, Senior Life Solutions, Mercy Hospital Cassville (free blood pressure checks), Clark Center, Celebrate Recovery, Southwest Backpack Program and The Point of Cassville will have booths. The church is located at 618 N. Second St. in Washburn.

Central Crossing hosting art class

The Central Crossing Senior Center in Shell Knob will host a one-day art class, entitled “Art Fun,” on Oct. 25 at 9:30 a.m. at the center. Jo Daniels will be the instructor. She is active with Creative Arts of Shell Knob and is donating her time for the event. Those who wish to attend should bring $5 for supplies and some cut leaves from magazines or calendars, like photos or other graphics. People may call 417-858-6952 to sign up for the class, and walk-ins are also welcome.
