Seligman man faces 3 felonies for sodomy
Alleged incidents span 3-year period
A Seligman man is facing three felonies relating to alleged sodomy of a child spanning a three-year period, beginning when the child was less than 13 years of age.
Kenneth Short, 61, of Seligman, is charged with first-degree statutory sodomy, second-degree child molestation and second degree sodomy.
According to a probable cause report filed by Angela Cole, deputy with the Barry County Sheriff's Office, Short allegedly subjected the victim to sexual contact in order for the child to be able to do extra activities.
The victim said the incidents began in November 2014 and continued until August of this year.
Short is being held in the Barry County jail on a cash-only bond of $75,000. He has been arraigned, and a disposition hearing is scheduled for Oct. 19 at 8:30 a.m. in the courtroom of Judge Robert Foulke.
