Michael Ray Cox
Michael Ray Cox, 60, of Shell Knob, passed away on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017. He was born on March 14, 1957, in Flint, Mich., son of Jimmie and Nadine (Hilburn) Cox. He joined the U.S. Army and subsequently became a truck driver. He was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Cassville.
Survivors include: three sons, Leslie Cox and his wife Courtney, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Jacob Cox and John Wells, both of Muldrow, Okla.; two daughters, Nichole King, of Butterfield, and Holly Cox Brammer and her husband Derek, of Muldrow, Okla.; his mother, Nadine Cox, of Shell Knob; 10 grandchildren; and four sisters, Rita Jornlin and her husband Steve, of Joliet, Ill., Pam Jones and Nancy Cox, both of Fort Smith, Ark., and Linda Malfatti and her husband Steve, of Colorado Springs, Colo.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his son, Nathan Cox and his grandson.
A memorial service was held Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Cassville, with Pastor Kevin Hilton officiating.
Cremation arrangements were under the direction of the White Funeral Home and Crematory, Cassville.
