Publisher elected Missouri’s National Newspaper Association representative
Brower’s term begins Jan. 1
SPRINGFIELD — The Cassville Democrat’s publisher has been elected Missouri’s representative to the National Newspaper Association.
Jacob Brower was elected Friday during the Missouri Press Association’s annual convention. His duties will include working with public officials on issues important to the Missouri newspaper industry, such as public access to government information. Brower’s term of service begins Jan. 1.
“I’m honored that my Missouri newspaper colleagues saw fit to elect me to represent their interests on a national level,” he said. “I appreciate their faith in me, and I look forward to getting started.”
Brower replaces Tianna Brooks, publisher of the Mountain View Standard News, who is term limited after serving three consecutive one-year terms.
