Joke books available to help fund child medical grants for Missouri families
With help from Missouri kids, the UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation is finding a new way to help meet childrens' medical needs with a collection of three family-friendly joke books, which were released for National Literacy Month, which is recognized in September.
The joke books not only provide lots of smiles and laughter, but helps local families in need, as proceeds from the books will be used to fund child medical grants for families in Missouri.
The three books — Cool Jokes for Summer, Sweets, Treats & Eats, and Holidays, Celebrations & Birthday Jokes, each include more than 300 hilarious jokes. The books are ideal for children ages 4 to 12, but can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Books are available on Amazon for $5.99 each.
UHCCF is also currently accepting child medical grant applications at www.uhccf.org. Donations may also be made by calling 1-855-698-4223.
Since 2007, UHCCF has awarded 14,000 grants valued at over $37 million to children and their families across the United States. Grants are typically used to help pay for medical services and equipment such as physical, occupational and speech therapy, counseling services, surgeries, prescriptions, wheelchairs, orthotics, eyeglasses and hearing aids.
