Billie Ellen Griffin, 85, of Neosho, passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at her home.

She was born Aug. 19, 1932, in Crowley, Texas, the daughter of T.W. and Lucy (Duncan) Creswell. On April 17, 1950 in Boise, Idaho, she was united in marriage to Guy “Pete” Griffin, who survives.

Also survivors include: one son, David Griffin and his wife Carol of Washburn; three daughters, Karen Kennedy and her husband Randy of Jay, Okla., Dorothy Wolgamott and her husband Miles of Neosho, and Shana Griffin of Neosho; one brother, Royce Creswell and his wife Sylvia of Boise, Idaho; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents and three sisters, Mildred Scarbrough. Evelyn Bullard, and Freda Restibo.

She received her education at Siloam Springs, Ark. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Hillcrest Church of Christ in Neosho.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 28, at McQueen Funeral Home in Wheaton. Burial will be at McNatt Cemetery in McNatt.
