Woman injured in Hwy. 86 wreck

Rear-end collision sends one to hospital

A Berryville, Ark., woman was injured Friday in a wreck at 2:05 p.m. on Highway 86, two miles west of Golden.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Shannon Barnes, 46, of Aurora, was driving a 2000 Peterbilt dump truck eastbound and was stopped in traffic when his vehicle was struck in the rear by a 1997 Nissan Maxima, being driven by Holly Jackson, 24, of Berryville, Ark.

Jackson suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Berryville. Barnes was not injured.

Both were wearing safety devices. The Nissan was totaled, and the dump truck sustained minor damage.
