Central Crossing hosts Hawaiian Luau event

On Aug. 15, Central Crossing Senior Center hosted its annual Hawaiian Luau, complete with Hawaiian food, music and Hawaiian clothing, leis, flowers and palm trees. The festivities included a Best Hawaiian Costume. The center invites others to see Administrator Terri Johnson, or office volunteers Janet Horine or Rita Goodhead for a tour and introduction of opportunities and services offered. One of which includes a home-cooked lunch Monday through Friday from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Winners of the Best Costume contest, from Left to right, were: Eunice Blazek; second place; Marcia Jones, Pat McCarthy, Jim McCarthy, Myonza Kennedy, third place; and Joni Herzog, first place.
