Yearly Land Tax Sale set for Monday

The annual Barry County Land Tax Sale will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Courthouse in Cassville. Anyone interested in purchasing properties at the land sale will need to come to the Barry County Collector’s office prior to 10 a.m. on the sale date to sign in and obtain a bidding number. Out-of-state residents desiring to buy land at the sale will need to appoint a Missouri resident as an agent. The agent forms needed for this appointment are available in the collector’s office. Bidding for the properties will begin with the taxes and cost against the property as advertised, and each property will be sold to the highest bidder. Copies of the land that will be offered for sale can be obtained in the office of Janice Varner, Barry County Collector. The collectors office opens at 8 a.m.
