Washburn teen injured, arrested after wreck
19-year-old charged with DWI after vehicle hits utility pole
A Washburn teen was injured and arrested for DWI following a wreck at 11:10 p.m. Thursday on Highway 76 west of Highway 39, one mile west of Cassville.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Dakota Cape, 19, of Washburn, was driving a 1993 Ford Ranger Pickup westbound when his vehicle ran off the roadway and struck a utility pole.
Cape suffered minor injuries and was transported to Mercy Hospital in Cassville.
He was not wearing a safety device, and the vehicle was totaled.
At 12:06 a.m., Cape was arrested by the Highway Patrol on three charges: driving while intoxicated, no seat belt and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway.
