Cassville man injured in motorcycle wreck

Bike loses control on Hwy. 112, hits mailbox

A Cassville man was injured Sunday in a wreck at 9:35 p.m. on Highway 112, two miles south of Cassville.

According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Michael Easley, 28, of Cassville, was riding a 2016 Kawasaki Ninja westbound and attempted to overtake another vehicle when his bike lost control, ran off the roadway, struck a mailbox and overturned.

Easley suffered serious injuries and was transported by Life Line to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

He was wearing a safety device, and the Kawasaki was totaled.
